Richard “Andy” D. Anderson, 81, of Davenport Iowa, peacefully passed away at home on May 21, surrounded by his family and a lot of love.
Andy was born on November 28th, 1942 in Waterville, Iowa. He graduated from Waukon High School in 1961. Andy dedicated 4 years of his life to our country through serving in the Air Force. Andy also spent 41 years working at Farmall / Navistar. Andy was known for many outdoor hobbies. He dedicated a lot of time to yard work and he always had the best lawn on the block. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with his family and celebrating holiday events. He loved to decorate his house for the holidays and have family over to celebrate. Andy was known for his generosity, humbleness, and humor. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. To know him was to love him.
Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Anderson; his parents, Robert and Melvina Anderson; his brother, Kenneth Anderson and sister-in-law, Mary Anderson; his stepson, Rodney Tucker.
Survivors include: His 5 children, James Handley of Davenport, Iowa. Tammy Whited (Mike) of Rock Island, Illinois. Don Anderson (Lisa) of Los Angeles, California. Julie Cline (John) of Lake Lotawana, Missouri. Tonya Anderson (Ronnie) of Davenport, Iowa. His stepdaughter, Jill Tucker of Davenport, Iowa. His brothers, Gerald Anderson (Althea) and David Anderson (Darla). Andy also has many grandchildren and great grandchildren who he loved dearly.
