Rebecca A. Lentz

Rebecca (Becky) Lentz, 58, of Colona passed away Monday, November 24, 2025 at MercyOne Genesis Illini Campus in Silvis. Per her wishes, she will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Becky was born February 6, 1967 in Moline, IL daughter of Elmer and Lillian Dyer. She graduated from United Township High School in 1985. Her first job was a deli associate at Rock Island Hy-Vee in 1985. She also worked at Montgomery Ward in the 90s, Colona Grade School in the early 2000s as a cafeteria worker, and then Hy-Vee on 53rd st in Davenport as a deli associate from 2010-2013. In November 2012 she signed up for the CNA program at Black Hawk College where she obtained her certification in January of 2013. She loved being a CNA and devoted her life to giving excellent care to her beloved residents and was still working up until two days before she passed. She was very hardworking, compassionate, kind and had a heart of gold. She enjoyed taking day trips to Galena, IL and Leclaire, IA. She also enjoyed shopping, wineries, and going to social events and music venues throughout the Quad Cities to listen to her favorite bands and musicians. She also loved watching her favorite tv shows, romantic comedies, and hallmark movies in the evening with her daughter Kayleigh.

Survivors include her daughters Kayleigh and Chastidy Lentz; boyfriend and partner Marv Ryan; lifelong best friend Dyann Parker; best friend Marie Mills; and her beloved fur baby Coco.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Lillian Dyer, and her brother Randall Dyer.
