Margarito Saldivar

Margarito A. Saldivar, 79, of Bettendorf passed away July 8, 2023 at his daughters home in Davenport.

A celebration of life will be 1:00PM Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the Bettendorf UAW Hall (880 Devils Glen Road).

Margarito was born July 23, 1943 in Davenport, IA the son of Margarito and Cecelia (Ulloa) Saldivar. He worked over 30 years at Caterpillar as a painter. He later worked as a server at Ise of Capri and The Outing Club. He enjoyed dancing and was an Iowa Hawkeye Fan.

Survivors include his partner Jacque Sluga; children Todd Saldivar, Theresa Saldivar, Sally Willtis, Shelly Ortega, and Ryan Saldivar; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Marcy Wickersham and Cynthia Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margarito was preceded in death by his parents, son Mark, brothers Christopher and Victor, and sister Dobie Ekstrand.
