Louise Roys (Sherwood)

May 6, 1958 — August 3, 2023

Moline

Louise Roys (Sherwood) age 65. Passed away peacefully in her home on August 2nd 2023. She lived in Moline and was born May 6th 1958. Her husband was Gary Sherwood, her two daughters were Ruel Roys and Rayna Roys, she had two siblings Alice Orsborn and Blake Roys and her one grandson Bryson Arnold-Roys.
Lou was into many things, including skiing, music and art. She enjoyed her live bands and the Grateful Dead, but most of all she loved to listen to her husband sing and play his guitar. Her family was her happiness, her pride and joy. She loved trying to keep up with her grandsons wild energy. She would always be there for anyone who needed her in any way she could. Louise was devoted to God and her church community. She had such a beautiful soul, so kind and filled with love and care. With her own sense of human. She was a compassionate and a unique person and if you knew her she would always make you feel welcome and there was always a good conversation. Very intelligent and a great listener. She was loved and touched by so many, she will be forever missed and in our hearts always. We really lost an amazing woman. It does give us peace knowing that she was so close to God and is somewhere safer now watching over us all.
We are holding a celebration of life for her on August 17th at 4:30 pm at the Community of Christ in Moline. We will be doing a potluck and wear your favorite tye-dyes if you’d like.
