Kenneth L. Lange

Kenneth Leroy Lange, affectionately known as Kenny Lee and “K Boy” to his closest friends, passed away at his home on August 28, 2026, at the age of 75.

Kenny was born on January 3, 1951, in Davenport, Iowa, to Kenneth Lee Lange and Beverly (Mercer) Lange. He retired from Motion Industries.

Kenny loved life and the people around him. He loved a good joke and had a laugh that was often shared with those around him. He enjoyed music and loved playing the guitar.

A die-hard Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan, Kenny proudly supported his teams through every season. He was also an outdoorsman at heart and loved camping, boating, fishing, and hunting. He especially enjoyed trout fishing and even tied his own flies.

Kenny loved spending time playing cards and games with his family and friends, particularly Pictionary. When it came to playing games with his kids and grandkids, however, Kenny was competitive—he never simply let them win. If they wanted to beat him, they had to earn it!

In more recent years, Kenny discovered a love for drones, which gave him another way to enjoy the outdoors even when able to get outside and explore as much as he once had. Although not many knew this, Kenny loved the McDonald’s Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal with a Coke and was always looking forward to the next Mickey D's run.

Kenny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Lange, his parents, Kenneth Lee Lange and Beverly (Mercer) Lange, and brother-in-law, Phil Stick.

Those left to cherish Kenny’s memory include his sister, Mary Stick; his four sons, Greg (Angie) Lange, Jason Lange(Andrea), Jeremy Lange, and Darrick Lange, all of Davenport, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Kenny will be remembered for his laughter, his sense of humor, his competitive spirit, and his love of music, sports, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. The memories and stories he leaves behind—including the jokes, the games, and the moments shared together—will continue to bring smiles to those who loved him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
