Kathy Kirkpatrick, 63, of Moline, ll passed away at home with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Kathy's wishes were to be cremated, with no visitation and no funeral services. Kathy will be buried at the Rock Island Arsenal with her husband, Michael D. Kirkpatrick. The family Is not asking for any donations, ff there are any donations, they will be split with the family to cover expenses.
Kathy loved all her kids and family unconditionally. Kathy was the type of person to help anybody if she could, even if they had done her wrong. Kathy loved sitting outside and gossiping with family, friends, and even a stranger or two walking by. Kathy loved old country music, loved going to the local dirt track races, and most of all Kathy loved her bingo. Kathy was the only person that anyone knew, that could play thirty plus cards and have them all memorized by the second game. Kathy will be missed by all the people that have known her and interacted with her throughout her life. Kathy was a mom, grandma, sister, aunt and best friend.
Survivors include daughter, Angela (Bobbi) Wheeler; son, Melvin Doss Jr; son, John Scott Ill (Lisa Huntley); son, Micheal C. Kirkpatrick; stepson, Randy (Virginia) Doss; stepdaughter, Elisha (Leon) Lindsey; bonus child, Rick (Diane) Schriner; grandsons, Ayden Scott, LaQuwan Lindsey, Eli Lindsey; bonus grandchildren, Dustin Schriner and Matthew Shriner; sisters, Debra Bates and Angie Winkowski; brothers, Buck Cunningham and Lonn Cunningham; 10 nephews and 5 nieces.
Kathy had two very special people in her life, lifelong friend Sheryl Fuller and long-time friend Peggy Summers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael D. Kirkpatrick; parents, Wayne Cunningham and Genevieve Clark; sister, Sondra Boyle and lifelong friend Steve Fuller.
