John Carmen Stahl

John Carmen Stahl, 81, of Silvis, IL, passed away May 18, 2024, at home in his wife's arms from complications of a massive stroke on April 17, 2024.

John was born October 19, 1942, to Hazel Small and Roy Stahl. He graduated high school and served in the United States Army for two years then started working at John Deere Harvester East Moline retiring after 30 years of service.

He married Sherri Mathahs July 19, 1993.

John enjoyed watching old Western movies on tv, NASCAR, hunting, fishing, gardening, and his fur babies, he took great pride in his 2016 Chevy Silverado truck, that was his baby!

John is survived by his spouse Sherri; two fur babies: "Daddy's little girl" - Phoebe, and Tiger. Sisters: Joyce Saelens, Mary Huggins, Carolyn (Robert) Boss, Allen (Kathleen) Stahl, Patti (Larry) Swanson, and Pamela (Russell) Tholen.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David, sisters: Virginia and Joan. Parents Hazel and Roy Stahl, "special fur babies" all rescues: Boots, Misty, Dei Dei, Sissy Jo, Lil Bit, Hank, and Aerosmith.

According to John's wishes there will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Quad Cities Cremation Center handled services.
