Joan M. Boenitz

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Marie Boenitz, age 79, on February 5, 2026. A loving matriarch, Joan passed away surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husbands Jim Tarver and Norman Boenitz, as well as her children Wade Tarver (known as Doug) and Sharon Brown and her granddaughter Bethanie Crow-Tarver. She is survived by her daughter in law Bonnie Crowe, and her stepchildren William Boenitz (known as Rob) and his spouse Nicole Boenitz, Troy Boenitz, Wayne Boenitz and Lisa Boenitz.

She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, Brandi Lane, Brett Crowe and his spouse Teresa Spradlin, Blake Tarver, Kiel Brown, Kolten Brown, Michael Brown and his spouse Jessica Brown, Kyle Alan Boenitz, Samantha Brown and her spouse Shawn Caulkins, Ashley Anderson and her spouse Samuel Anderson, Amanda Brown, and Paige Boenitz.

Lastly she is survived by her nineteen great-grandchildren, Kaiden Brown, Dakota Caulkins, Leland Caulkins, Makenzie Brown, Michael Jr. Brown, Brentley Brown, Emilee Brown, Leeam Brown, Phoenix Brown, Atticus Brown, Rylee Anderson, Brystal Tarver, Briannon Tarver, Michael Crowe, Chloe Crowe, Brinlee Lane, Brodee Lane, Brooklyn Lane and Bryor Lane. Her legacy of love and wisdom will forever guide us as well as her passion for family. A Celebration of life will be held on April 18, 2026 at First Baptist church, 1101 10th Ave, Silvis, IL 61282, at 3:00 P.M.
