Jean McLaughlin

Jean McLaughlin, 89, of Davenport passed away Sunday October 11, 2026 at The Vistas nursing facility in Bettendorf, Iowa. 

Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. 

Jean was born June 22, 1937 in Rock Island, IL. the daughter of Cyriel and Madeline (Heydeman) Albrecht. She married Donald Hillbloom in 1957. They later divorced. She married Clifford McLaughlin in 1962 in Rock Island, he passed away in 2005. She attended Saint Mary’s Catholic school in East Moline and worked for Moline Public Hospital for 20 years in the housekeeping department. She enjoyed playing bingo and word search puzzles. 

Survivors include her daughter Christi (Albrecht) Ohl of Davenport, IA; grandson Jeremy Albrecht of Davenport, IA; granddaughter Melissa (Stephen) Mania of Sheboygan, WI; sister Joyce Powell of Plainfield, IN; sister-in-law Linda Albrecht of Port Byron, IL; 4 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren with one on the way in March; 2 nephews and 1 niece. 

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Larry Hillbloom, brother Lee Albrecht, and a nephew Tony Albrecht.
