James Mahler

James "Ken" Mahler, 52, of Riverdale, passed away Oct. 29, 2016, at Genesis Medical Center East Rusholme Street, Davenport.

A celebration of life will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Palmer Hills Golf Course in Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the family or the American Kidney Foundation. Quad-Cities Cremation Center, Silvis, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ken was born Sept. 26, 1964, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, the son of James F. and Bethany Hutchinson Mahler. He married Tracy Holmes May 23, 2004, in Davenport. Ken worked for the family business Mahler Concrete and Excavating before becoming the owner of JKM Concrete Solutions. He loved to golf and play pool.

Survivors include his wife Tracy; children, Brittni Holmes and her fiancé Adam DeGreve, Courtney Holmes, D. Bryce Holmes and Kalin Mahler; sister Kris Diericx and a brother Jason Mahler.

Ken was preceded in death by his mother.
