Douglas Lessard

Douglas G. Lessard, Jr., 68, of Silvis, Illinois died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at home.

Cremation has been accorded. Memorial services are 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7th at First Baptist Church, Cordova, Illinois followed by a luncheon. Memorials may be left to the family or American Cancer Society.

Douglas Gordon Lessard, Jr., was born July 26, 1948 to Douglas G., Sr. and Neomia Mae Herzmann Lessard in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Douglas married Elizabeth Elaine Welch, June 1, 1966 in Davenport, Iowa. Douglas worked construction, roofing and managing apartments until his retirement. He enjoyed listening to music and playing guitar.

He is survived by his wife: Elaine; daughters: Mary Ann Raychel, Rock Island and Tammy (Butch Fentress) Horton, East Moline; sons: Richard (Julie Levroun) Lessard, Silvis and Tim (Amber Weems) Lessard, Silvis; sister: Carol (Marvin) Buchanan, East Moline; brother: David (Laura) Lessard, Coal Valley; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Christine.
