Douglas A. Kepner

Douglas Andrew Kepner, 68, of Colona passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus. 

Per his wishes no service will be held. 

Doug was born November 12, 1955, the son of Howard and Joan (Pobanz) Kepner. He graduated from JD Darnell High School in 1973. Doug worked at John Deere as a machine operator. He went to Hamilton Technical College and received a A.A.S. in Electronic Engineering Technology. In 1991 he opened and operated a Nick Tarpeins School of Karate in Geneseo IL. He drove trucks for Neumann Trucking until he retired. 

Doug enjoyed Karate, fishing, and trapping. He raised foxes for many years. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his father Howard, brother Darrell (Josie) Kepner, sister Nancy (Milo) Kepner, brother David and many nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his mother Joan.
