Obituary for Clifford J Sichta

Clifford J. Sichta Jr., 73, of Geneseo passed away peacefully Feb. 13, 2018 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, surrounded by loving family.

Per his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Quad Cities Cremation Center is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Henry County Humane Society in Kewanee.

Cliff was born Dec. 19, 1944 in Washington D.C., the son of Clifford and Virginia Cuno Sichta. He graduated from Illinois Wesleyan, the class of 1966, and was a member of the Acacia Fraternity. Cliff was an “Insurance Wizard” and worked as a C.P.C.U.-certified underwriter for Lohman Bros. in Geneseo and Lyle R. Jager Agency in Kewanee. Cliff enjoyed the study of Theology, woodworking and playing golf.

Survivors include his former wives Pam Zweng and Carol Mayo; sons Joe (Kim) Sichta of Malibu, CA and Jeff (Kelly) Sichta of Gretna, NE; daughters Maggie (Lou) Kinnamon of Mahomet, IL, Jessica (John) Gilligan of Naperville, IL and Rebecca (Trent) Proehl of Tremont, IL; grandchildren Jake, Nina, Nicole, Arielle, Marissa, Delainie, Kyle, Kade, Kara, Annabel, Ryan, Carlie, Alida and Ava; 8 great grandchildren; brother Robert (Pia) Sichta of Bradenton, FL and sisters Marge (Jerry) Misek of Elizabeth, IL and Sue (Jim) VerHage of Beverly Hills, MI.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents and a great grandson, Sailor.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the compassionate staff of Illini Hospital ICU and the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
